What we keep, and what we don't.
Effective 10 October 2026
1. Who we are
Daized is operated by [legal business name: to be added], [registered address: to be added]. We decide how the information described here is used, which makes us its data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
2. What we collect
- Your account. Your email address, how you signed in (password or Google), an account identifier, and when you joined and were last seen. If you sign in with Google we receive your email address from Google and nothing else from your Google account.
- The files you upload. We read the file, build your dashboard from it, and keep the parsed table so the dashboard can be reopened and edited. The original file is never stored.
- A record of each upload. Its filename, row and column counts, the kind of data we detected, a profile of each column (its name, type, summary figures and a few example values), and the dashboards you made from it. This is what lists your datasets and counts them against your plan.
- Feedback you send. What you write in the Feedback form, the rating you give, whether we may email you about it, the page you were on and the kind of dashboard you had open. Nothing from your file is sent with it.
- Technical information. Your IP address, used as it arrives to limit abusive request rates, and server logs of requests, kept for security and fault-finding.
In your browser we store your sign-in session, your light or dark theme and your preferred currency. We use no advertising or analytics cookies and no third-party trackers.
3. How we use it
- To build, show and save your dashboards.
- To sign you in and keep each account's data separate from every other's.
- To count dashboards against your plan's allowance.
- To keep the service secure, find faults and stop abuse.
- To reply when you write to us.
- To decide what to fix and build next, from the feedback you send.
4. What an AI model sees
Your dashboard is computed by our own code; a language model is never what produces a number. A model is used for two things: helping identify what kind of data a file holds when our rules are unsure, and writing a plain-language explanation of a chart when you ask for one.
- For identification, the model receives column names and types and at most 3 example values per column, each cut to 40 characters, for up to 80 columns.
- For a chart explanation, it receives that chart's title and the labels and values it plots, up to 60 of them. If a chart ranks customers, their names are among those labels.
The rows of your file are never sent to a model. We do not use your data to train any model. The model is provided by Groq, Inc.
5. Who else processes it
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. These providers process it on our behalf:
- Supabase: sign-in and our database (account and upload records, and feedback), on servers in Japan.
- Groq: the language model described above.
- Cloudflare: delivers this website.
- Our server host: runs the application and holds the parsed tables, on servers in India.
- Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- A payment processor: once paid plans open. It handles your card or UPI details directly; we never receive full card numbers.
Some of these providers process data outside India. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
- The parsed table: deleted automatically 30 days after you last opened it, or straight away when you delete the dataset. After that it still appears in your list and needs uploading again to reopen.
- Backups: a nightly backup is kept for 3 days on our server and for up to 30 days in a copy stored off the server, so a table or record you delete can remain in a backup until it ages out. Backups are only read to restore the service after a failure.
- Upload records and dashboards: until you ask us to delete them or close your account.
- Your account: until you close it.
- Feedback: until you ask us to delete it or close your account.
- Server logs: a limited period, for security and fault-finding.
- Payment records: as long as tax law requires, once paid plans exist.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
- correct or complete it;
- delete it, including closing your account and everything uploaded under it;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated.
Write to [contact email: to be added] from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, contact our Grievance Officer (below), and after that you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Every request is checked against your signed-in identity, and one account's data cannot be read through another's. Uploads are checked before they are read, and nothing uploaded is ever run. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
9. Children
Daized is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
10. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we update the date at the top. If a change affects how your existing data is used, we tell you by email before it takes effect.
11. Grievance Officer
[Grievance Officer's name: to be added], reachable at [contact email: to be added]. Complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days. See also our Terms.
